What kit do i need?

How fit do I have to be?

The exercises are designed for all age groups and physical abilities. There are no assault courses to go over or mud baths to crawl through!! Last year one participant on crutches helped her team with ideas from the sidelines rather than contributing in a physical manner.

Do you have disabled access?

There is disabled access to the main hall and tasks can be re-sited to allow those in wheel chairs to participate. Please let us know in advance if you have a disability or if you have any concerns over access by contacting Major Charles Milroy on 07803 228 628.

Should I bring food?

Not necessary as there will be tea, coffee, squash and water available on arrival and throughout the day. Lunch (soup and sandwiches) and Dinner (main course only) will also be provided.

What if I have a dietary requirement?

Please let Major Milroy know of any dietary requirements before the event if you can. We can accommodate most needs including vegan, gluten free, halal etc

Can I do prep before going?

There is a problem solving exercise which is best solved using a methodology used by Junior Army Officers called the “Appreciation”. An example of this may be found using the following link.

Give it a go, it will really help your team, in the team competition, if you know how to apply this particular toolkit.

Will I get shouted at?

No, with the only exception of if you are about to do something dangerous to yourself or others. The day is about your self-awareness and leadership so the staff adopt a mentoring and development style of working to assist you.

Is there somewhere I can pray?

Yes absolutely. We have set aside a room which will be available throughout the day for those who wish to take time out for prayer. Please let us know your needs on the day.

Can I take photographs?

Yes. There will however be a few restrictions such as photographing staff, VDUs etc. We will be taking pictures and posting them on the exercise website each evening
